Reviews of 2025 Mataro Rosé:
*Red Star Value, 93 points, Marcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion, February 2026:From the Hunt Road vineyard, with vines planted in '98 on their own roots. Like almost all the portfolio, this comes in a lightweight, recycled bottle – as all wines should. A dusky, orangey pink, this is quite a full-fleshed rosé, dry but with succulent fruit sweetness. Tangelo, pressed watermelon, pink grapefruit/blood orange, pressed rose, ooray plum. It’s mouth-filling, pleasingly grippy, sapid, essentially more savoury than fruity, but with surprising fruitful power. It’s distinctively different of feel, and delicious with it.
Reviews of 2024 Mataro Rosé:
90 points, Angus Hughson, Vinous.com, April 2025:The 2024 Mataro Rosé intrigues with its
gentle wafts of ham bone, fresh red cherry and autumn leaf aromas, with an
understated lining of old spices. This is dry and retains its composure and subtlety with savory, earthy tones delivered over a long, fine finish. Drinking window: 2025-2027.
90 points, SA Wine Guide 2025, Shanteh Wale:A delicate rose petal pink hue. Cherry blossom, watermelon rind and alpine
strawberries. A wisp of cotton candy and rhubarb. The palate shows more Red delicious apples and some savoury dried meat tones. Paprika and biltong. It’s dry and finishes with a nectarine blush. A perfect wine for almost all food possibilities. A good all around Rosé. Drink now.

Reviews of 2024 Mataro Rosé:
91 points, Lisa Cardelli, Winepilot, October 2023:
Mataro, Mourvèdre, Monastrell. Call it as you wish, but the most important thing here is that it can shine by itself without being the third wheeling in the GSM love story. It opens with fresh mulberries, black cherries, and pomegranate. It’s vibrant and fragrant, with an earthy, herbal component that reminds me of somewhere, under the summer sun, around the coastal area of Southern France. On the palate is ample, spicy, savoury and scream for some
Cassoulet.
