From our Breakneck Creek vineyard, on the eastern escarpment of McLaren Vale, tucked into the foothills and with stunning views of the Gulf St. Vincent and Mount Lofty ranges this is a brand new wine for Hither & Yon. Apple and guava juice, salted limes, ginger, beeswax, crunchy texture. Crisp and fleshy mouthfeel with good fruity concentration, crisp minerality, framed with that brine and chalk edge we love in our white wines, and true of place.
The label brief for this wine, was the “perfect Saturday on the Fleurieu Peninsula” incorporating farmers markets, lunch with coastal views, bush walking and twilight fishing off the jetty. Our Chenin Blanc just plays into all of this ideally, the type of wine you can pack for a day out - think apple and guava juice, salted limes, beeswax, and sea spray.
