On International Grenache day, we are proud to (pre) release our top Grenache, from our oldest vines on Hunt Road in the alluvial foothills of McLaren Vale. Our family is proud to put our name and crest on this elegant wine from a cool, long vintage.
In bottle now for 18 months, we feel it is time to unfurl it, patience is a virtue – beautiful drinking now, but also with fine structure for ageing for 8-10 years more. A special occasion wine, 780 bottles are now available, cork and wax sealed, we are just putting the finishing touches with screen print going onto the bottle in first week of October.
Marcus Ellis from Halliday Wine Companion has written a lovely review, seeing the complexity and uniqueness (arguably from the site) of the wine, and in the end, calling it “distinctive”, you can read this and the story note here.
