Founders of Hither & Yon, Richard and Malcolm Leask, often remark of their father, Ian, as being a great innovator of the McLaren Vale wine region, since his early days here in the 1980’s, with both vineyard operations and land establishment. When Hither & Yon was born in 2011, Ian’s two boys started their own creative path that has led to an almost full regeneration of their Sand Road home block to alternate, climate adaptive, food friendly grape varieties. Their view is to essentially, plant trees that they may never see, with their next generations in mind.

FIRESIDE REDS
The 2021 Leask Grenache has just come available after spending three years in bottle before release. From our oldest vines, the family is proud to put their name and crest on this elegant wine from a superb vintage. Here, we believe patience is a virtue, hence why the longer bottle maturation, allowing the wine to be beautiful drinking now, but also with fine structure for ageing. A special occasion wine, there are only 228 bottles available for sale as we send this, from our family to yours, cheers!
