"All the beauty we cannot see" SALA Exhibition

We are proud to be a wine partner and Hither & Yon Venue Award sponsor again this year for the 2023 South Australian Living Artists Festival (SALA). SALA is a state-wide showcase and celebration of South Australia’s living visual artists. It culminates in Australia’s largest and most inclusive visual arts festival, which takes place in galleries and non-traditional arts spaces across South Australia annually, during the entire month of August.

Each year, SALA takes the work of around 8,000 South Australian artists to more than 500 venues across the state (from sheds, cafés, offices and retail spaces to wineries, schools, public spaces, galleries and major arts institutions) to reach local and international audiences of more than 850,000 people, and many more online. SALA enriches communities and audiences, supports and nurtures South Australian visual artists, and we are immensely proud to be involved.

All the beauty we cannot see SALA Exhibition

We are very pleased to welcome you to our SALA exhibition by emerging artists Elise Clements and Emma Neill. Elise and Emma explore in different ways, what beauty means to them, challenging notions and emphasising imperfections, asking you to stop and appreciate elements and details. Read more about their exhibition here.

You are invited to their opening event (at the Hither & Yon cellar door) on Friday, August 4, from 5pm to 8pm where you can meet Elise and Emma, have a glass of wine and wander, with wood oven pizzas also available for purchase.

Thereafter, their exhibition will be available for viewing from 11am to 4pm each day, until August 31. We look forward to seeing you in Willunga for SALA 2023, and please go out and see as many other wonderful SALA venues as you can – let us know your favourites!
